Dodge Data Acquires Ingenium Technologies

Just 16 months after its sale to a Palo Alto-based private equity group, NYC-based Dodge Data & Analytics this week started adding to its assets, announcing the “strategic acquisition” of longtime partner Ingenium Technologies Corp., a Vancouver, BC-based data management firm.

“Big data is how business runs, and this deal is about making Dodge’s big data accessible across the construction industry,” said Dodge CEO Mike Petrullo in making today’s announcement. “Construction firms of all sizes need deep and early insight to win business… Through ConstructionPoints News and ConstructionPoints for Salesforce, we make big data quickly available and actionable to these firms.”

DEAL FUELS INTEGRATION OF DODGE CONTENT INTO CONSTRUCTION PROJECT WORKFLOW

Integrating Dodge’s data-driven content “seamlessly” into its customers’ workflow will provide them with a sizable strategic advantage, he added. That incorporation of the Ingenium family of products into Dodge’s portfolio is immediate, as the two firms have “worked closely together for sixteen years,” Petrullo noted.

In fact, Ingenium began developing its software platforms in 1995, and five years later began a distribution partnership with Dodge. So the two companies already share some 150 customers, including many of the biggest names in the AEC space. “We have long served North America’s leading building product manufacturers and other construction professionals in close concert,” added Ingenium President Howard Evans. “We are pleased to accelerate our service to the construction community with this transaction.”
